Warmth. Morning. Sipping.
Grab a “Bickie” (a ‘biscuit;’ a cookie). Most importantly, chew some thoughts about the day to come… What’s ahead, what matters. Coffee is for clarity. As is talking.
But writing is tougher. It means you leave leisure time behind you.
You hammer. Then bend - you rework words. They must work. Together. And if they don’t… you start over. Some writers, to help get by, invite you to ‘treat them to coffee’. I get that. It’s a great metaphor. And if you drink Starbucks Coffee, or even Dunkin Donuts or Tim Horton’s, (that’s Tim’s, Canada’s favorite), it’s a few bucks once every while.
I’m now making my way - buying my groceries - helping my friends - via my writing. So buying me some coffee is a great metaphor.
But first: Don’t do it ‘cause you have to…’ I’m fine if you just hang out with me for free… I prefer my coffee at home, as you probably do to. But if you want to join in, I hope to make it worth the read.
So yep, this is my work.
And Many Thanks!

Some secrets for penny-pinchers: Annual it’s 4.17per month. That’s nearly half the normal monthly pledge! Buy me a Tim’s, or a “Cuppa”. Or just go in for “free.” I don’t mind.
You are appreciated.
Another hint: Even the Founder’s has a sliding scale!
